Emilio Collar, Jr. Ph.D.
Dr. Collar earned his Doctorate in Information Systems from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado; his Master of Science in Information Systems from Pace University, New York, New York; and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University, New York, New York. He is currently a Professor of Management Information Systems at Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, Connecticut.
He is a KPMG Foundation Doctoral Scholar and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Prior to his Ph.D., Dr. Collar had various jobs and consulting engagements in large Corporations, including General Reinsurance Corp. and IBM. As an independent consultant, Dr. Collar has provided consulting services on software implementation of Oracle databases, Internet website development, e-Commerce applications, and Internet security and planning. Dr. Collar was also a technology consultant for the IBM Information Technology implementation at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Games and the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympic Games. He analyzed and documented the Information Technology deployment, identifying the processes required for the deployment of the operation of the software applications.
Dr. Collar co-founded an organization called The International Group of E-business Research and Applications (TIGERA) and served as Vice President from 2006 to 2011. It provided a forum for scholars, professionals, students, and Government representatives to present their latest findings in e-Learning, e-Business, and e-Government research, applications, and underlying technologies.
Dr. Collar has served as editing manager for the Journal of Computing and e-Systems, track chair for multiple topics at TIGERA, and either as a guest or invited reviewer for various academic journals.
He has published papers in academic journals, including Cybernetics and Informatics, International Journal of Computer Science and Information Security, International Journal of Management Science and Business Administration, Journal of Management and Business Research, Journal of Systemics, European Business Review, and International Journal of Global Business and Competitiveness.
Lisette Collar, RDMS
Ms. Collar earned a Graduate Diploma in Medical Informatics from the University of West Florida, Pensacola, Florida; a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences from Washington State University, Pullman, Washington; and an Associate of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Sanford-Brown Institute, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS).
Ms. Collar has been a business consultant for various business organizations. She was a Sonographer at renowned American hospitals: Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, New York; a Clinical Specialist at Baptist Hospital, Miami, Florida; and an Adjunct Instructor of Sonography for various technical colleges in Florida.
A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer uses imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images of many parts of the body, known as Ultrasound. Ultrasound is a non-invasive way to visualize internal organs. Sonographers play an essential role in conducting and interpreting imaging tests to aid the Radiologist in a patient’s diagnosis. It requires extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, mathematics, and physics. Ms. Collar specialized in Abdomen, Small Parts, OB/GYN, Neuro, Vascular, and Breast. As a Clinical Specialist, she worked with Radiologists to create protocol procedures for the imaging department. She also worked at Level One Trauma facilities in the Emergency Room and performed ultrasound-guided procedures in the Operating Room.
